This Agilent/Varian TwisTorr 304 FS Turbomolecular Pump (Agilent no. X3500-64020, with controller ) is a reliable, gently used unit in like new condition. Manufactured in Italy, this specific model has an ISO-100 primary inlet flange, a KF40 split flow inlet, a KF25/NW25 outlet flange, a KF16 vent adapter, and is set up for water or air cooling.
However we are happy to reconfigure it to -64010/-64060/ or other specs for FREE on request. Simply specify whether you want a KF 16 or KF 24 inlet, a purge valve inlet or blanking plug, a vent valve inlet or blanking plug, etc.
Specs list maximum a pumping speed of 250L/sec, and an ultimate vacuum of better than 1x10^-10
The pump includes everything you need to get going immediately including a Varian 9698973M015 controller, along with a power cable, a serial to USB cable for use with Agilent's free A-Plus vacuum control and monitoring software, as well as a prefabricated interlock/Start/Soft Start connector which allows you to control the pump directly without the need for a PC straight out of the box. It has been fully tested and is running great (see photos). The pump has recently received a full overhaul including a cosmetic cleanup, ultrasonic cleaning of internal components, top bearing replacement, bottom bearing cleaning and relubrication, bearing isolation ring upgrade, and an o-ring regreasing/replacement. It is in excellent working condition - runs quiet, smooth, and cool with very low current draw, comes up to speed in well under 5 minutes, and pulls a very good vacuum. Our test setup is FAR from UHV, but even after only 15 minutes of operation (and after days of sitting at atmospheric pressure), it passed 10^-7 mbar with no issue and was still dropping at the end of the test. All in all, this is a very nice and happy pump in beautiful condition that is sure to give you years of excellent service.
